lyrics
You know it & I know it
You’re in a lorry on the driver’s side
Hands clasped over yer tired eyes
Both feet to the floor
Headed for a wall
Don’t do it to yourself
I know she’s there with someone else
I know you want to kill yourself
I’m there for you if you need help
Don’t do it to yourself
I can’t bear to watch
I know it hurts
Know you think that it can’t get any worse
I’m well aware that she comes first
It’s her or hearse as far as you’re concerned
But I will listen to your ills
Yer friends keep plying you with pills
Can’t tell if they think they’re trying to help
Don’t just keep it to yourself
Know what she is going to say
Wish your pain would go away
If not for me then do it for your health
Please don’t do it to yourself
Can’t bear to watch
I love you too much

tight album, the production is stellar and the songwriting nice. layers and layers of sound unfold and wash and build and meander. sad to hear they're breaking up right after releasing such strong material. matt schultz

This entire album is staggeringly good, but my favourite is Slowly Coming Together, which does indeed seem to slowly distill all that is Jilk into one track. Amazing work, and wonderful to come across through the subscription library. swansither

So wonderfully put together you don't realize the ingenuity behind some of the sound sources until you read the liner notes. Another fine addition to an increasingly expanding Radiophonic-like world. Anthony Childs
The band's latest project includes twenty-eight new short songs that clock-in at no longer than just under three minutes. Bandcamp New & Notable May 15, 2020

Such a great idea translating stamps into music. Four brilliant tracks hotter than a Bunsen burner flame. I would love to see this issued on vinyl. roblove1
